Our FULL MOTION H-60 simulators realistically duplicate environments and aircraft conditions. “STEP” allows pilots to experience situations that would be too dangerous, too impractical or impossible to practice in an aircraft. There are over 120 different emergency procedures available to the pilot including un-predictable environments. The challenging training expands the pilot’s skills and prepares them to respond professionally to a broad range of demanding and unexpected situations.
The “STEP” program provides a complete package for the pilot. It provides formal classroom academics, covering aircraft systems and procedures. Every one of our simulator and classroom instructors have been flying the H-60 for more than 20 years. The “STEP” training sharply hones the pilot’s skills providing safer operations and gives them the expertise and competence to operate safely in the National Airspace.
3 Days- 7 Hours Simulator, 10 Hours Ground School
This STEP, Proficiency Pilot Training- is designed for the pilots who have proven their skills in the H-60 and are proficient in the basics. It re-introduces those “perishable skills” that pilots have had little practice in. “Step” trains pilots to maintain proficiency in, core competencies, aircraft systems, and emergency procedures.
5 Days- 10 Hours Simulator, 20 Hours Ground School
This STEP, Refresher Pilot Training- is designed for pilots who have not been flying the H-60 for an extended amount of time, or pilots that just need to hone their flying skills. The training starts with the basics and builds to a high degree of pilot proficiency. “STEP” trains pilots in core competencies, aircraft systems and emergency procedures. This offers the pilot the opportunity to practice complex maneuvers and emergency procedures in a safe and controlled environment.
10 Days (2 weeks) 20 Hours Simulator, 50 Hours Ground School
This “STEP” is a comprehensive program for pilots who are new to the H-60. It starts with the basics and continues through advanced procedures and maneuvers. “STEP” fully covers all aircraft systems and emergency procedures. Each system will be academically taught and then trained in the simulator.
